Suit fit check

Looking for opinions on the fit of this suit. I know a bit about how suits are supposed to fit but want a second opinion. Looking for a conservative, classic kind of fit here (definitely not slim). I can move with ease, but I'm wondering if there may be some problems with the shoulder fit (might be a little big I'm thinking), and I think the waist is probably a tad big, but I believe that can be fixed with tailoring.

What do the trousers look like?

I think if you’re in your 40s it’s a good look. If you were younger I’d definitely go for a more slim look personally but I know you said you didn’t want that.

I think the trousers fit how I want them to. I'd mostly be wearing this working as a clerk in a law firm with a conservative dress code.

Yeah the bunching in the back of the armpits means somethings not working right Your shoulders also seem a bit broad and I think if you were try try and adjust it, I would recommend something less structured

Yep. Kind of looks like a combination of improperly sized armhole and wrong sleeve pitch at first glance. Not a tailor. The former is not fixable, the latter is expensive and risky.

I will revoke that statement, I actually thing the shoulders look good, but I think you need to have the waist nipped a bit to establish some shape against the shoulders It’s the curvature of the sleeve

thanks guys! will have to see if there's a reputable tailor in my town who can say more about it and i think taking in the waist makes a lot of sense

Sleeve pitch is how the sleeve attaches to the body. It could be pitched more forward or more backward. You also hold your arm a certain way, which is more forward or more backward against your shoulder. When those don't align, it's a problem. Chuckflowers, are we looking at the same shoulders? You don't see the huge divots at the side shots and all the rumpling from the back shots?
