well config issue was if u actually owned port 25565 and proxy usually just bind to 25577 unless u manually change port

Deleted User
Deleted UserOP2y ago
is there any way to get nycto.net to work? if not ill survive with mc.nycto.net
𝔗i𝔯i
𝔗i𝔯i2y ago
create a A record with the name '@' and set in the SRV record the domain name like you did
ProGamingDk
ProGamingDk2y ago
well opposite u want the srv to be @
sharkdudefin
sharkdudefin2y ago
yeah just use @ instead of mc
Deleted User
Deleted UserOP2y ago
ahh i see i see
𝔗i𝔯i
𝔗i𝔯i2y ago
but also a A record with @ is important
sharkdudefin
sharkdudefin2y ago
@Deleted User reminding you (you may already know) that squarespace is acquiring google domains soon so you will manage DNS on their site when that happens
Deleted User
Deleted UserOP2y ago
like this yes? if so ill give it a bit and see how it goes

Deleted User
Deleted UserOP2y ago
i see i see hopefully its a decent site, i found google domains too basic and cloudflare feels a bit too much
sharkdudefin
sharkdudefin2y ago
well yeah i have heard they r good but you shouldnt have to change anything as they r transferring everything over
𝔗i𝔯i
𝔗i𝔯i2y ago
should work
Deleted User
Deleted UserOP2y ago
alrighty ill give it a bit atm getting unknown host but it could just be cuz its moving to nycto.net still
sharkdudefin
sharkdudefin2y ago
TTL should be 1h for best results and it takes usually in my experience 1h to update/register with google domains
Deleted User
Deleted UserOP2y ago
alrighty ill give it a bit as mc.nycto.net is still working after the change so i think it needs time to think alrighty now im extra confused so for me mc.nycto.net works and nycto.net returns unknown host. but for one of my friends its the opposite and nycto.net works and mc.nycto.net says unknown host is this just an effect of it still swapping over or have i broken smthin :why:
sharkdudefin
sharkdudefin2y ago
no, it shouldnt be doing that and its likely just sorting itself out give it 1 more hour and see what happens then
Deleted User
Deleted UserOP2y ago
alrighties still doing this am currently trying to find another friend to try joining with nycto.net to see if its only me still experiencing this issue it appears everyone but me can join using nycto.net for me only mc.nycto.net works
sharkdudefin
sharkdudefin2y ago
make sure you arent using a vpn and try restarting your router with the RESET button. This will reload all the DNS settings for your home wifi and should resolve the issue
ProGamingDk
ProGamingDk2y ago

sharkdudefin
sharkdudefin2y ago
ah ok I have a ping with the nycto.net
Deleted User
Deleted UserOP2y ago
Yeah must just be an issue with my internet then Welp I can live with mc.nycto.net if it’s only for me then Thank you all for the help :)
