I saw there used to be a reddit post about this so i came here.
My startup command:
Im using java 17
Hmm looks like i figured it out. The docker image im using is OpenJ9 Java 17, which spark doesnt support OpenJ9.
Adding
-DPurpur.IReallyDontWantSpark=true
to args disables spark.any reason for using purpur?
Mayb cuz it's better than paper and has further optimisations.
its really not
if you want further optimization just use pufferfish
purpur upstream is slow and they are way too many useless features unless you actually need them
Purpur is a fork of pufferfish
its not
contains pufferfish patches
K then 👍
purpur has had less than stable updates in the past
and has broken stuff in the past with its updates
