MFA’s Favorite Shoes in Summer?
Intentionally vague, curious what people like, mostly in casualwear situations— thanks!

Minimal white sneakers for the braindead simple versatile pic.
Some type of sandal, I prefer fisherman ones, but lots like Birkenstocks here.
Then just a "low profile" leather sole. I like Doc Martens, but if you are more preppy than suede derbies might make more sense
That covers most bases of formality and activities
Curveballs based on personal preferences would be loafers or espadrilles
I'm itching to try some penny loafers, for the dressy side of casual.
I also have a pair of bright red Adidas that I love, to branch out from minimal white.
Alden LHS in snuff suede. Castañer Nacho Espadrilles are some of my favorites.
nb 5740 in sea salt/rose
Birkenstocks have been my daily drivers this summer.
Rancourt ranger mocs for sockless but not a sandal.
NBs or Sambas if I want to wear a sneaker (cause I'm doing lots of walking or something)
Alden LHS for business casual
New Balances, minimal white sneakers (artisan lab for me), loafers, espadrilles
Ive been getting a ton of mileage out of my lemaire piped slippers, as well as my gats and air max 97s being my go-to sneaks
A few sneakers: leaning on minimal whites mostly. Leather (like Koio), Canvas (liking Cariuma simplicity atm), or a plain Stan Smith is a nice in-between.
Have some flat colors to change it up (skater/Samba-like).
I don't do chunky sneakers unless I'm actually working out. Boat shoes aren't in, but if someone had canvas Sperry/Seavees, they work with preppy looks (rebranded old money atm). Unlined suede loafers have been a strong go-to lately. Socks are trendy with them, but I'm not doing it. Thinking of espadrilles, but haven't done them. If you're in mostly casual situations, I don't think you need much at all.

Sandal: Suicoke DEPA
Sneaker: New Balance 2002R
Mule: New Balance Niobium Concept 2
Leather Shoe: Paraboot Micheal
Canvas Shoe: Chucks hi tops
I’ve been looking at Victories and Spalwart for that retro style of shoes. Love a variety of their colorways
I’ll second espadrilles
I’d like to get a pair of fisherman sandals but I won’t
Rotation has been timbs 3 eye lugs, loafers, sambas, gel kayano 14
Low canvas sneakers, minimal white sneakers, some Rancourt pinch loafers I ordered back in March that just arrived last month. I like the idea of espadrilles, but I just can't walk anywhere in them. Really thinking about some Huaraches. Not sure I can pull them off.
Also loving my Vans Old Skools in pig suede.
Salomon XT4
They're breathable, comfortable, and great tread for getting around. Downside is mine aren't goretex so they let in water on top when it rains.
imma be honest I just wear my docs year round
Love my XT4s. I've heard the goretex version can get sweaty in the summer anyways.
Been wearing mine a lot as well
Minimal white sneakers, sandals, espadrilles. Been wanting to experiment with huaraches
Are espadrilles flat feet killers or do they just look flat from the outside

I think my wife would object if I installed a dating app, so I'm unable to verify that. 🙂

Just get normal nmd r1 on sale
Look on adidas site there are plenty of sizes and color ways on sale
Don't buy reps you goof
all these dumb opinions and one of those guys that's obsessed with height on dating apps too
🫡 🫡 🫡 for the cow paraboots as a casual shoe
dual is built different (better)
they genuinely do kinda go with everything
the freedom that comes with something not "going" with anything is that it always works
Y'all wear paraboots with shorts?
Yes
Respect. I own two pairs of Michaels and I need to start doing this.
I love my black wallabees so much
Yo how good in the rain are the goretex wallabees? I was thinking about getting a pair
Great intel thank you
I also desperately need rain boots
I have horrible shovel feet. I tried to make Michaels work for a month and then broke my heart selling them on grailed
If you have a suggestion I’m all ears but finding nice shoes has been a terrible experience for years haha

Honestly bro I really like versace driving loafers with a matching versace buckle belt. I find that it really attracts females. You have to show them that you're classy and refined but also sexy and loaded. That's what men's fashion is all about, am I right? Can I get a fist bump? 😎🤜
on the topic of canvas shoes, CT70 are an obvious staple but give some love to Vans Anaheim (big upgrade from basic vans)
also Novesta if you're in EU.
the linen Novesta x DbF are really nice
Would you recommend the regular or herringbone model for the Diego espadrilles?
I'm a bit worried for their durability even though they're inexpensive
Depends on the rest of the outfit. I tend more casual in the summer so I reach for my beefroll moc loafers a bit more than my LHS or tassels but it’s all personal preference.
Rancourt and some other handsewn brands also make handsewn bit loafers which are cool.
