Quill vs Open Brush
Anyone tried Quill? What is the difference between that and Open brush feature wise?

The biggest thing is probably Quill's support for animation - although we have started working on that ( cc @Seethrough )
There's also a different philisophy - Quill's UI is very much more a conventional desktop-ish UI and it's not as immediately engaging as ours. Quill is/was trying to be a more "serious" app (but that isn't to say Open Brush isn't... The results the community produces speak for themselves)
I think Quill is probably more optimized for large, complex scenes - but efforts to create a workflow whereby Quill can be used with other apps - seem to have stalled. They released an SDK which didn't build and have never responded to any comments or offers of help.
Hmm, fair.
I get the feeling Quill is kinda dead now. No updates for a while.
Oh I heard, it got back to ownership by original devs from oculus but no news.
yes - that's true but they only made one minor release after that and it's been (checks calendar) a long time..?
In any case I'm gonna be jumping between Open Brush and Gravity Sketch now. and figure out a way to do stuff.
Gravity sketch rn let's me manipulate polygons so that's only upside right now
Yep. Keep an eye on our other builds where experimental feature work is done: https://docs.openbrush.app/alternate-and-experimental-builds/
Will do, thanks
