I'm so confused now, I'm seeing all three of these at once.... All three saying I'm on three different plans

i flipped a coin, and as a result i am pinging @Angelo
@fp - since you seem to be on a roll with this stuff 🙂
Wanna dm me your Railway email?
would it be beneficial to get a users email before i ping a team member? i did think you could access their railway account since they linked to discord
That flow is a little flaky.
Mostly people don't want to publicly share their email so even a project ID would be helpful.
I can’t DM u, I have dms on…
Share a project ID you have, we can look up your account using that

You're on the developer plan using credits. I think your account state is fine?
The plans page should not be available to you. Did you visit it by directly entering the URL?
And lastly, what do you see on your dashboard?
Ok, right that’s what I’ve been on, but now we are being forced to migrate or not…
Yes I did, maybe I’m not supposed to be able to view that… lol
The projects dashboard? Does this mean I’m not eligible for the $5/month waiver?
Click the “Switch to the hobby plan” button
It’ll tell you if you’re eligible
Ok so apparently you need $10 credits at least to switch and mine have run low, but when I go to add more this shows up, can I trust this? This means I am definitely eligible?
Yes. It means you’re eligible.
When you reload, it’ll automatically move you to the hobby plan.
It worked! Thanks
Wait, so it’ll charge me if I go over my credits amount???
no it wont, if you dont have the available credits, you get 3 days grace to load more, or else your services/plugins shut down
Ah ok, that makes sense, but nothing is lost right? Just I can’t access any of it? So then even after the three days if then I load more, then It’ll start back up like nothing happens or no?
correct
Ok, maybe y’all should make that message a bit more clear, thank you though.
nothing said youd be charged for credits you dont have, so i think its fine
If you run out, you'll lose the ability to deploy & we will purge your data after a grace period
ray you cant say something scary like that without saying what that grace period is
What is the period before data purge? Is it the same three days!? No, right?
cliff hanger
Ya you gotta wait for the next episode
I don't think the cut off is set in stone yet. But as a policy, we're going to because it doesn't make sense for us to retain data for users no longer paying for it (storage costs $$$, and it stacks up; we've had cases of ~100s GB sitting in storage for years due to inactivity)
@fp question for ya
so in short, longer than 3 days
Definitely longer
Much longer.
But like Ray said, we haven’t decided or implemented it but we will.
As of right now, if you run out of credits, you stuff will be taken offline immediately.
Once you reload credits, you can turn things back on.
Yea, I mean I get that, but as long as it’s like >5 months I’ll be good, bc some projects I kinda abandoned when school lets out, but go back to after it starts again.
