Too slow?

Not sure where to look next. My V-Core-3 300 can't print faster than 150mm/s at about 20 mm³/sec without serious underextrusion. From what read, this should be faster. At 150mm/s the prints look great. I run an Orbiter 2.0 with a Rapido UHF with the 0.6 Volcano nozzle. When pushing the speed/flow, the Orbiter doesn't skip any steps and the nozzle isn't jammed. Filament path is uncontrained, with only the Orbiter Filament Sensor, but also tried it without. Using Capricorn tubes for the places that require PTFE tubing. What can cause this?

Raise extruded temperature; check flow rate. I run same config at 200m/s ion a 0.6 nozzle.

You shouldn’t use Capricorn. A good ptfe tube ID3/OD4 (to the Orbiter) and ID2/OD4 (orbiter to Rapido) e.g. from ptfetubeshop.com is way better The used filament is also important (you can reach a higher flow with asa than with pla… also depending on the temp)

I set the flow rate (in slicer you mean?) to 75 as a test. Doesn't make any difference. Will raise temperature and try again. Not Capricorn? Everywhere it is said to be the best/smoothest PTFE tube in the business. Will checkout ptfeshop.com.

Capricorn between extruded and hotend Id3 od 4 from spool to extruded That’s max flow rate. I mean filament flow rate

The ID is just very tight. I also once made the mistake to buy it. It’s good for slow bowden printers like the Ender 3, but not good for others It’s OK between the orbiter and Rapido, but a ID2 is even better. The shipping costs are pretty high at ptfetubeshop, but it’s hard to find a good true ptfe elsewhere

You mean what Klipper shows when printing? Will definitely check it out. They are based in The Netherlands as I can determine and because I am too, the shipping will be low for a change 😉 I hope.

Ah, perfect. Yes, I think it’s about 6 €. For some other countries it’s 2-3 times that amount

I recommend 2.5mm ID instead A bit more strength/ rigidity and still enough room

Should replacing the PTFE tubes really be the only thing that can cause the underextrusion? I reached out, but they sell the PTFE tubing only with a minimum of 100m 🙄

Yes, it should be able via the shop to order smaller quantities.
