Sparks and No Heat

As of today, there are small lights on the outside of my hotend. I first noticed these in changing the nozzle. Video clip included in this post. After recording that clip, I waited about half an hour. From then on out, the hot end would no longer heat up. There is a picture of the temperature history included. There is a single small blip on the first attempt to raise the temperature It is worth noting, there was a collision with the build plate two weeks ago. But it has been printing since then without incident

Thats a shorted heater... Theres tiny wires in that ceramic that cause a resistance over the 24v, making it heat up .. inside your block either that wire is broken or arcing with the one next to it.. this is a broken ceramic heater block, and i would claim warranty on this unit as its defective.. This COULD potentially break your controller board.. I would not use this anymore..
