Cant get a consistent first layer

Hey All, I cant see to get a consistent first layer and i seem to be getting a lot of nozzle blobs. it also seems like it doesnt want to stick to the bed, i've cleaned the bed and still get the same results. I'm running a rapido UHF 0.6 nozzle and Esun cold white fillament (205c) and a orbiter 2.0 Can anyone give me some rough settings for retraction they have used? happy to try any other suggestions.

also not sure if thats a good bed mesh for a 500mm printer or if i should try to fix that first

its most likely just your z-offset calibration and probably filament tuning as well getting blobs could point to overextrusion or a leaky nozzle setup, not tight enough for example

i've set the z-offset using my 0.1 filler gauge and got it also perfect, some first layers look good then it will move and it will be horrible. im loading the bed mesh before each print, i've also swapped nozzle and made sure i heated it to 270c and tightened it

a filler gauge is almost useless, this isnt a good way to set your z-offset it can give you only a starting point nad not the real z-offset you need

how would you suggest getting the z-offset right?

first you get basic offset, like with wour gauge then you print multiple 40x40mm squares, only one layyer, and tune it live, then just click the save button and you are done
