When using a prime blob with PETG, the blob sticks to the nozzle.

very time the blob sticks to the nozzle and the first layer fails. Is there any solution?

fix your bed adhesion issues first. The PETG should stick to the bed better than the hot nozzle.

If you´re using an uncoated cheap brass nozzle and have a "dirty" bed than this is normal. Clean your bed and use a good nozzle.

and maybe use something like 3D Lack on you bed. The blob is the greatest thing i´ve ever seen in priming techniques...

I fixed it by cleaning the nozzle regularly.

Why is this better than a prime line?

it cleans your nozzle much better

I didn't think that was the purpose of it? Seems the filament loading macro does this quite well?

exactly this was the purpose try it for some time and you will see yourself has nothing to do with the loading macro

It was. The goal was to form a blob around the nozzle and leave that on the bed with every bit of ooze and filament residu that was still attached. That's why it blobs, then cools the blob. Then it cools while extruding a bridge in the air to give you a handle to remove the blob, then a final wipe. That's because I was fed up with filament going deep underneath my finger nails.
