Reinstalling RatOS
I was thinking of doing a clean reinstall of RatOS because of some errors I have been getting. What would be the best way to reinstall RatOS by keeping most of my configuration and custom settings?

1) What errors are you getting?
2) what "custom settings" are you referring to?
This is the error I was getting, and in a previous post I was told that it isn't a variable that exists in RatOS, so Im assuming something has gone very wrong, and by custom settings I mean everything in my printer.cfg
can you upload your printer.cfg?
heres the 2 logs if that helps
[mcu] serial: /dev/serial/by-id/usb-Klipper_stm32f446xx_btt-octopus-11-if00Why do you have this?
Honestly no clue, but I've removed it for now, still no change though.
Well no - but like what ever did you do? Because you should have never needed to do that
I think at one point I wasn't able to get my pi to connect to the printer, so I tried that as a remedy, but it didn't work and I just forgot to remove it.
found the issue
i have pam installed and in the pam.cfg file the gcode macro PRIME references variable_prime_location
which I was told before is not a ratOS variable
@Helge Keck 👆 did he install PAM wrong?
After looking through a thread earlier I found the solution, seems I just need to get better at scrolling through the support threads
