Printer Shutdown TMC error?

TMC 'stepper_y' reports GSTAT: 00000001 reset=1(Reset) Hi all, I got this error last night during a print, everything was as normal so ive no idea what could be the cause! What would be a common issue for throwing this error? I restarted the printer and started a new print and its going ok now??

Ok it keeps happening, ive checked the wireing and everything was seated ok. Could it be a stepper dead?

do a search here for that gstat error LOTS of discussion on that one. Short form, it's a voltage issue. either the stepstick is going bad, or the motor has a partial short, requiring the stepstick to put out an un-even current across the coils as each is pulsed. The stepstick just bulks and shuts down. BTDT do a search for conversations

Ok just a update on this I got it a couple more times and then it I got a hotend thermistor fail. It was a wire had pulled out of one of my JST plugs on my tool head. Since I fixed this it hasn't come back. Maybe this was also the cause of the GSTAT issue?

sounds feasible. As previously mentioned... yep...with a bad contact the stepstick would not have been seeing the right voltage/current across the motor.
