belt tension
anyone care to elaborate a little bit? Is it good? 😛 I dont quite understand why there are two peaks? Is that for the same reason explained in Marc's video, gantry mass on Y? Thanks!

this is good
take it
the small bump on 125hz could be better
but thats just a detail
what might that be? Something loose in the printhead?
am I correct in the two peaks due to the mass?
appreciate the quick reply 😄
the two peaks look good, its like it is supposed to be
they could be much closer to each other
the lines
i think if you fix aour 125hz bump this will look much better
yeh just need to have a clue where to look for that. Its very small though ...
but its already better then the what the most people here have
can be anything
you can run the shaper only at that frequency to make looking for it easier
these?
just finished as you were typing 😄
ow wait .. only at that frequency ... how do I do that?
one sec
awesome, thanks! Got that installed, so run it with 110 to 135?
yes
saves you some time
i recommedn to use only the belt tension macro
this waya you can find out on which belt you have the problem
I was just about to ask 😛
X = left belt (upper)
y = right belt (lower)
upper and lower?.
haha
cool!
i saw that 😉
so its something on the upper belt right?
on both, but mcuh stronger on the other
yeh of course
now run it always at these frenquencies and observe every part on the printer and try to find the issue
thanks! I'm on it, I hear some rattling 😛
the rattle i heard is gone and the graph is lower but not gone. Ive tightened every bolt in sight all around. I have no idea what to try next.
can also be the furniture the printer sits on
its much lower now
30000 compared to 50000
yes but i just ran the Y and i hear another rattle
make a full grpah
hang on 😛
hmm
fix one thing, wreck another
theres a metallic rattle at some point during the test but its too short to pinpoint it
there is still that peak on the y graph
i guess thats it what ruins it
does your gantry hit in the front both sides at the same time when you moving it there?
that 125hz peak looks ok now btw
it does, X is perfectly perpendicular to Y and i made sure there is no binding on the rails whatsoever. Gantry moves on a breeze wihtout the belts
I found more loose bolts 😮
one of the corner pieces on the electronics panel were loose
metallic rattling is gone. whats left is the belts slapping the extrusion at the back
I suppose that means tension is too low 😛
no, this doesnt mean this
oke
and theres still a rattle somewhere ... pfff
metallic, must be a bolt or nut in an extrusion
or a forgotten shim in on of the idler stacks
i can check that too, I think it sounds different, more like a loose nut in an extrusion rattling away
Changing, but not really improving if you ask me
its to do with the gantry when I put a finger on the left or right side assembly it changes
might be an idler after all
well, just use it for the moment
its good enough
ill continue the chase tomorrow 😛
I find the chase and fixing more exciting than watching it print 😄
