If you've got the PC version installed then there are some sample files in:
C:\Users[your username]\AppData\LocalLow\Google\Tilt Brush\Curated Sketches\
is this on a Tilt Brush
or Open Brush app?
yes i have PC
Oh. - the path is different for Open Brush. One sec. I might be wrong
Yeah - it would be:
C:\Users[...your user name...]\AppData\LocalLow\Icosa\Open Brush\Featured Sketches\
(or ..\Curated Sketches)
Or you could download any of the files ending ".tilt.bytes" here: https://github.com/icosa-gallery/open-brush/tree/main/Assets/Resources/DefaultShowcaseSketches
Just rename them so they end with just .tilt
i cant seam to find AppDate
*AppData
It's usually hidden. Either turn on "Show hidden Items" or click in the address bar and type it in.
yes it was hidden, thank you, now i got to this part, but these folders are empty
Hmmmm. I wonder if we stopped copying them over at some point and I've just got them coz I installed originally ages ago.
probably, they are def no longer in the app. So can i just download those from the link and add them to the account?
Yeah. Drop them in your Sketches folder and they'll appear in the app. Another place to download from is here: https://api.icosa.gallery/assets
any of the urls ending ".tilt" should work.
ugh. ugly in chrome. Firefox formatted that page nicely for me
Thank you so much!
No worries. This should get easier when we improve the Icosa Gallery website.
Could i just check one more thing. If i add sketches to my Google account and use any stand alone headset, when signed in with my Google account they would not appear ?
As i would need to use tethered or add them to actual Quest headset?
Is there a launch date for Icosa Gallery website?
At the moment Google Drive sync is only automatic one way (it uploads but doesn't download back to your devices). So you need to manually download any files that we sync to Google Drive.
Does that answer your question?
So any sketches that i draw on stand alone headset i can enable the Google Drive and this will save them, but i cannot upload files to Google drive and open them in Open brush...is that right?
yes i think so
When you turn on Google Drive Sync the sketches on the device are backed up to your Google Drive account. The only bit you have to do manually is copy them back to a device if you need to.
ok thank you. Is there a date for on cloud flatform to launch any time soon for importing and exporting the files?
No definite date but we're hoping it's a matter of months.
that's great to know, thank you for an update!!
