Extruder E-Steps Calibration

I've recently completed a VCore 3.1 and I'm trying to go through some basic calibration steps and I'm new to RatOS/Mainsail. I tried entering the appropriate gcode commands to the console but they weren't recognized. How can I go about this calibration? Is there some other terminal/console available for direct gcode entry, or does RatOS/Mainsail have its own functions for extruder calibration?

If you only have a single printer it usually isn't worth the trouble as you will also need to do extrusion multiplier anyway and that will account for any small variation
