Issues switching to left hand
Left-handed? :: Open Brush General Discussions
I may have overlooked it, but is there a way to swap hands? It's really complicated to paint with the wrong hand. I'm left-handed.

I just tested this on a Quest 2 standalone, and it seems to take a lot more force than I remember, but it did work. (I don't have a PCVR setup to test)
I tried the gentle touch first proceeding to whacking them together pretty hard and also different angles, etc. don't want to break the controllers. Maybe it is an inertial thing. I will try moving fast until just before contact. if there is a registry fix, I'm open to that as well. I won't be switching to being right handed any time soon!
What I do, for what it's worth, is slide the controllers up in my hand, and then bang the bottoms of my fists together. The controllers stay a centimeter or so apart.
Tested with Quest 2 air link and with Rift S. Reloaded OB on steam. new batteries. Nothing. Is there a line that I can add in the config file?

Only workaround I’ve found is using your dominant hand when you first launch OB and just sticking with it. Edit: Rift S btw

If you're comfortable, you can do a registry edit to swap the hands manually. in registry editor, go to
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Icosa Foundation\Open Brush, and look for a key called WandOnRight_h28637944. double click and change it's value to 1. If it's not there:
Right click in the whitespace -> New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value. Change it's name to WandOnRight_h28637944, double click and set it's value to 1.

No problem! Ironically I’m also a leftie, but have got so used to going in and out that I’ve just got used to right handed haha

BTW that key was not there. I had to copy/paste that key and change it to 1.
Yep, I figured the key might only be created once it was needed! you probably got the tutorial again when moving to 2.0 - we changed registry entries, so any old values there wouldn't have been kept
