What editing application are you using? What settings are you using for exporting? (screenshots of the export window would be the most helpful here) Are you exporting to an HDD or SSD? How much system RAM do you have?

Like I said, it'd be best if you could post a screenshot of your export settings Otherwise you'd have to type them all out here Is your CPU, GPU, or memory getting maxed out / having high usage?

What codec are the source files you're using? (AVC/H264, HEVC/H265, ProRes, AV1, etc.)

Ok so it'll still be x264 My best suggestion would be to use this plugin called Voukoder https://www.voukoder.org It basically uses it's own method of rendering using your 3090 which should be much more efficient than what Vegas does by default If that still doesn't work for you then updating to a newer version of Vegas may fix the problem

hmm ok ill look into both of those

are you rendering back to the same drive that your operating system and/or your project files are on? even on nvme you'll get i/o limited if so
