Heater heater_bed not heating
Good morning - my machine has around 400 hours on it, and yesterday I thought I'd finally finished it off and ran the first print after installing the Enclosure 2.0 (which came out quite well!).
This morning I've gone to run another print and I'm getting the
Heater heater_bed not heating at expected rate
error in Klipper.
I replaced the mains wiring the other day, moving to use wago terminals and this seemed to be working and I've double checked it, plus the print yesterday ran OK. Would not be surprised if this was related, although can't work out why it worked yesterday and not today.
When heating the bed, I can see the SSR comes on, and all the wiring looks OK. Does anyone have any tips on how to troubleshoot this? I do have a multimeter and checked continuity on some of the connections after changing the wiring. Thanks!6 Replies

quick update on this, have done some digging and the bed heater is sagging so current working theory is that the mat overheated and blew the thermal fuse - either way it's definitely not working and assuming the only option is to replace it 😦
if the thermal fuse blew you wouldn't have continuity anymore between the two bed wires. You can also replace the fuse

it certainly is looking to be the case - yeah no continuity and can't measure resistance between them either
I'll have to take a look at how to replace the fuse thank you! 🤞 €150 for a new mat is a bit of an ouch if it's just a fuse 🙂
although I would then need to figure out how to stick the heater onto the bed properly
you should also figure out why the fuse failed. It is a thermal fuse, meaning it should only pop if the bed got too warm

after discussing it elsewhere and doing a bit of troubleshooting - current theory is that due to the adhesive failing, the bed heater having delaminated from the bed has meant that it's heated itself up too much and blown the fuse since the heat wasn't going into the bed 🤔
I've had a quick look and haven't yet found any resources on replacing the fuse - I don't suppose you know of any guides or something? thanks again!
not offhand, sorry
