Help for pregen servers?

The current server I've been playing on is pregenerated, and I've been wondering if I can just take the pregen data and insert it into the folder?

If so I can just have it all rendered when I join back instead of having to waste time covering thousands of blocks manually.

For single-player, LOD data is stored in .minecraft/saves/WorldName/data/lod For multiplayer, LOD data is stored in .minecraft/Distant_Horizons_server_data

I know where it's stored, I just don't know what file to pull from the server. I read the faq, I know that half. I tried real hard to remember it too for this reason lmao.

so, you have just a server world save pregen'd, no LoD pregen right?
The Lumberjack
Yes Will it have to pregen along side it? Or can I just load a world file?

run the server world on singleplayer on Ultra settings, and set LoD distance on like 2048
The Lumberjack
2048 chunks? Because the server itself is only like 7k blocks in each direction.

ye, overkill but its more of once and done otherwise 7000/16 idk how much chunk that is lol
The Lumberjack
So just transfer the lod file to the correct server after it's done rendering?

yep you'll know it's done when CPU usage is not 100%, and when you fly like 5000+ blocks above sea level, you'll see the LoD generated as a square, not circle.
The Lumberjack
Yeah I've done the same with 256 chunks on amplified Thx for the info  I have a new question, My gpu and cpu usage aren't high but on a multiplayer server I still experience stuttering. I see the gpu upload method is probably the setting I should change, but I don't know which I should change it to. Although if I should probably change a different setting instead I'd like to know :/ Also when I crossed dimensions and came back less of my distance was rendered than before, I don't know if that's an issue too. Same goes for when I relog, less and less of the area outside the normally generated area is disappearing.

In the future please make a new issue, you are more likely to get help. Try using "Buffer storage" as your GPU upload method. And disable "dimensional similarity"
The Lumberjack
Where will I find dimensional similarity? Also thank you for letting me know. :aqua_thumb_up:
