Mainsail not connecting to Moonraker

Hi Guys,
I'm new to RatRig and Raspberry. Bought and build the V-Minion but now struggeling with the WLan connection of the Pi.

What I did so far:
Downloaded the latest Firmware from GitHub v1.2.4
Wrote the image to the sd card via Balen
Insertet the sd card and
plugged in the usb cable (mini a on pi, usb on pc)
so far so good

now I can see the hotspot RATOS on my Ipad.
connected and chose my Wlan
entered the password and "click OK tho restart"

BUT then it does not connect to my Wlan and after a couple of minutes the initial RATOS hotspot appears.

Fritz.Box does not show the pi
I use a Fritz.Repeater, too. hope this is no issue.

Would love some help.

How far away from the wifi is the PI? Have you checked your router's log to see why it can't connect? Have you checked the PI's log as well?

I tried multiple location. direct near the repeater, direct near the router.... Router log is a good point

...... With the Pi log.. I dont know how. like I said, I'm a big noob at this

checkt my router. There is only my ipad logged due to the switch to the Pi. But no activities of the Pi mentioned

Hi. Now I was able to get the Pi into my network. A lot of frustration here, but in the end. I do not know how and why. Just installed the Pi OS, that workt. And after reinstalling RatOS this also works....

tried to connect with PUTTY to the IP of the Pi. But then I get an error

Something is very weird with your network. I would use a Ethernet cable and plug the pi directly into the router

@Schunky @blacksmithforlife This is the exact same thing that is happening to me. I thought I fried my Pi, so I bought a new one and this is the same issue.

Out of curiosity, @Schunky are you on a 10.0.0.X internal IP address? What is your router type (make model). I'm trying to find any similarities in our setup.

I figured out the issue. RatOS + Mainsail + Moonraker didn't like the default DHCP of 10.0.0.x. I changed the DHCP in my router and can finally connect to Mainsail.

Hi. Just to have an feedback here. My problem was the IP v4 and V6 configuration of my FritzBox. I was not aware, that my local network runs on IP V6... I was able to connect via the direct V4 IP but not with ratos.local. Changed everything to v4 doesnt helped so I connect with the V4 IP to my Raspberry.
