Rapido repair

Hi folks, has anyone successfully repaired a rapido hot end with an intermittent thermistor connectivity issue? Wondering if possible or if it's advised to just replace the whole core. Thanks!

the sensor can be replaced seperately. sourcing one might be a different story

How does one remove it from the core? I've taken it apart but it doesn't seem that it can be removed

did you pull the little screw on top? does your sensor not pull out? oem? or trianglelabs version? (of the heater assy)

I didn't get pulling it out... I'll try that when I get home

heater leads are soldered on the side of the ceramic block the thermistor leads drop down into a hole from on top (after cutting the ty-wrap , removing the little screw, and exposing the thermistor leads into the top. Yours may or may not be borosilicate pasted in place. We guess you'll find out right? 🙂

I can't make it any worse 🤣

Is that it? Or did it break off inside? Either way looks like a crack is forming on the core so going to replace the whole unit
