Color Fixes

I downloaded the "com.Icosa.OpenBrush-fixgammavulkan.apk" from the link.
Then I installed it on Quest using SideQuest.
However, the application freezes during the first application-loading (about 70%).

I installed only the "com.Icosa.OpenBrush-fixgammavulkan.apk" using SideQuest.
When I unzipped the linked Zip file, other Zip fills and folders appeared, did I need to install them as well?
Don't worry about them, just some extra debugging files! They aren't needed
I'm assuming you're using a Quest 2 and not a Quest 1?

videos and snapshots are looking good!
The only other problem i've been having is that if my controllers are off before I start the app, the menus don't load. But that's an easy workaround that I just have to turn them on before loading the app

And I didn't encounter the bug! 😄 so it might not have been Open Brush at all! this is on the SteamVR beta so you may not have it yet, but I imagine it'll be in a release coming very soon
Hey @mikesky The videos are super dark now.
I have the background color up and its still very dark but the objects have a funky glow.
oh, interesting 🤔 this new PR should make it basically the same as how it is on 1.0, so is it any different to that with the same settings? @Mana👽 did you notice anything like that?
@mikesky Its not so bad in the headset but once you film the video it does darken considerably.
It's fine on the fix you sent earlier (OpenBrush-fixgammavulkan), but the experimental beta on steam still has the issue yes. Last time I checked was yesterday
Hey @mikesky the colors do darken quite a bit and the colors get really saturated on film not so much in the headset. I was able to color correct a little on post but still way too dark. It may be the same cause, but the colors in SKYBOX are also very different between TiltBrush and OpenBrush (standalone).
I hope this problem will be remedied as soon as possible.

If you look at you monitor at your piece and open the camera you can see the differences of each right on your monitor

@mikesky Hey Mike did todays daily with the build. Color issues are great including the brightness in the video, however, has some bugs not related to color. Problem #1: The video recording is super jerky and I havent changed my config file smoothness settings. Its really bad. Problem #2: When you rebrush with some of the experimentals they disappear. Problem #3: When you copy a piece and rebrush, sometimes you can not grab the copied object.
About 99% of the time I record my videos by hand not by using the camera paths.
Okay, and those issues doesn’t happen in the beta version?
Really glad to hear the color issues are solved for you, that’s the main goal 🙂 I’ll quickly check those other issues over the weekend but likely I will merge this branch Monday!
Problems 2 and 3 have occurred before and I reported it here awhile back maybe Andy fixed it? I’ll check the beta today and let you know.
@mikesky I think you may be able to disregard the video issue. My airlink connection has been bad and that may have contributed to the vid issues that night. Doesnt seem to be an issue tethered. Might want to check it on your end just in case. Switching from cable to fiberoptic for service so that should be a huge help here with my airlink issues. The cable service for internet is SLOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW on upload.

I may have installed it wrong.
I downloaded "Oculus Quest experimental", unzipped the zip and installed the apk file into Quest via SideQuest.
But when I launch it, it freezes at about 74%.
I didn't test experimental on Quest, but I can do tonight. This is merged now so it's available from here: https://nightly.link/merulaxr/open-brush/workflows/build/main
Did you open it twice or just once? I noticed an issue when testing Pico that it crashed the first time, but worked the second time... very weird. Wondering if it may also apply to Quest

Just saw this! I tried to use it today with my index but the controllers wouldn't show up 😦 . I am on the steam VR beta
