invalid satisfactory install found
This is on a clean windows 11 install (with windows update and drivers).
Install epic game and installed satisfactory 1.0 dedicated server.
I connected to the server from another computer and created a game and confirm i was able to login and play.
installed mod manager V3.0.0-beta.4 and i get the error stating "1 invalid satisfactory install found"

What you're doing wrong is using the mod manager at all - mods aren't ready for 1.0 yet

If you're trying to launch the game without mods:
1.0 has renamed the game target, preventing SMM from being able to automatically uninstall mods for you....
Cant launch the mod menu properly and cant launch the game
I have tried to reinstall both the game and the mod manager but that didnt seem to fix it so now im just stuck and wanting to play the game 😦

hi im working on downgrading the version of Satisfactory to keep playing modded im just facing a small issue:

SMM U8 Rollback Progress
For those who have used SteamDB's depot repository to download back to Update 8, you may get an error about not being able to find the steam directory for the game.
At this time, there is not currently a known fix, best to just play through steam (as this launch an instance of the game you can use to play around while rollback progress is made)
Posting this because I'd like to contribute to the rollback patch to SMM...

FactoryGame Crash Log
Alright, Tried loading the game normally through Steam, Wouldn't let me because of the Mod Manager, Ok cool.
Opened the mod manager and it stayed on the darkened screen of 1 game file install located but not where it thinks it is. Ok fine, I hopped onto the discord and found people having the same issue. I went in and deleted the mods folder. I closed the Mod Manager and loaded up, Same issue with file location. Ok uninstalled and reinstalled Satisfactory on Steam.
Next issue popped up the same issue with plugin errors could not be found. So I went in, Deleted the plugins folders and revalidated files. Tried opening again and this error started showing up. I have even at this stage deleted the Mod Manager program from the computer and uninstalled and reverified my game another 2 times each and I'm still getting this issue. I have also updated my graphics drivers so I know that's not an issue....

Yes, this is expected, deleting your mods folder lets you launch the game through steam, SMM is broken and will need to be updated for 1.0
