ujust regenerate-grub gives the following:
/usr/sbin/grub2-probe: error: failed to get canonical path of `composefs'.

I've attempted to use Bazzite Rollback Helper to rebase to the latest bazzite-asus:stable image, however while that seems to run fine, after completing the reboot and checking rpm-ostree status I can see the same error is there, and nothing's actually changed in the backend.

ASUS TUF A16 - System hangs on KDE login
Performing the fix as described in the reddit post above, doing an update (while on that same working image), rebooting into the updated version of that image, then rebasing to stable and rebooting again appears to have fixed it! Now on the latest version, no screen tearing issues at all.

ASUS TUF A16 - System hangs on KDE login
Following up on this, I heard about the issue described on the Bazzite reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Bazzite/comments/1ic2bvn/psa_you_may_be_unable_to_update_here_is_the_fix/) where some people were unable to update, and went to with the
findmnt /
findmnt /
command. Seems I have that composefs source in here as described in that reddit post. Going to try the fix mentioned there and see if I'm able to update properly afterwards.

bazzite-asus stuck on iGPU, doesn't recognise AMD dGPU
I expect it does change a behaviour in the bios, yes. There has to be something that's being done differently here between Kubuntu and Bazzite though, given it worked just fine for me in that distro.

bazzite-asus stuck on iGPU, doesn't recognise AMD dGPU
Though I suppose that really that still counts as a workaround for now, seeing as things were working just fine in Kubuntu before with things set to Eco Mode in Windows, but at least it's actually working now. Is Bazzite using an older version of asusctl perhaps?

bazzite-asus stuck on iGPU, doesn't recognise AMD dGPU
Okay, I appear to have solved this issue. In ASUS Armory Crate in Windows, the graphics were set to Eco mode, which is meant to disable the dGPU when not needed. For whatever reason, this prevented Linux from seeing that it existed at all, meaning it couldn't turn on when I loaded a game, nor could I manually activate it before doing something else that would be GPU intensive. Booting windows and switching back to Standard mode made both the iGPU and dGPU display properly.

bazzite-asus stuck on iGPU, doesn't recognise AMD dGPU
As a follow up to this, asusctl fails to see the dGPU to try and manually switch to it. "asusctl bios -D 0" returns a long-ish error message, but most importantly there states:
Error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.Failed: RogPlatform: set_gpu_mux_mode: Asus Platform error: gpu_mux_mode No such device (os error 19)
