FPS and loading issue
Hello everyone! Hopefully you will be able to help me with this issue.
I’ve been playing Valorant for 2 years now and my issues have started like a year ago. I was noticing that my game is slowly getting worse and laggy. I reinstalled whole PC and after installation Valorant I accidentally picked different disk (D:)
It made my game load extremely slowly and when i say extremely, I mean it. It would take 10 minutes for Valorant to load in the main menu and after every game I played I kept getting penalized for being AFK in first 2-3 rounds. That was the reason why I quit playing because I didn’t realize it’s my fault I installed the game on wrong disk.
But I was bored today and looked through it. I noticed that Valorant takes around 3 TB. Yes Terabytes of space. I reinstalled it and put the game on disk C:
Game loaded in within 30 seconds (I literally gasped in shock, not knowing how I did it). Tried to play one game, everything was smooth and perfect.
However when I got in my next game, another problem occurred very quickly - FPS drops. My ping is very good (around 16-20) and my internet is pretty fast, so I knew this could not be the reason.
I changed in-game graphic/video settings, tried to find any possible help on the internet, but nothing worked for me.
Just to clarify, I have a gaming laptop and I understand that specifically gaming laptops can be shit, but I run other games such as GTA V, smoothly and without any problems.
Plus during the time when my game was slowly loading, it was the only issue and I didn’t have any spike lags back then. My games were smooth and ran on 120-150 fps on medium settings.
Now that I fixed the loading, FPS are sh!t and I don know what to do.
(Yes i tried turning off V-Sync and it’s even worse without it)
