nobody in this server works for riot; you can submit a support ticket on valorant's official website if you think those players are smurfs/boosting/throwing. usually submitting a support ticket will bring light to the issue where reporting in-game may not sometimes.

does anyone have any tips to get better at valorant? just started.
agree with the comments above! playing with friends who are better than you/a little more experienced than you can also help! you'll have fun and can also get tips and learn the game at the same time

a couple of quick things to try if you haven't already though:
- do a clean reinstall of valorant. make sure you completely uninstall riot client and vanguard.
- run your game as administrator.
- make sure windows is fully updated.
- update your gpu/integrated graphics drivers

i was having a similar issue and reached out to riot and it turned out my hard drive was corrupted. i doubt you have the same issue (unless your other apps are also crashing/failing to initialize), but it's worth sending in a support ticket on their website. and yeah, i also wouldn't queue comp while it's being fixed unfortunately. it can hurt your teammates and you also wouldn't want to get an afk penalty or get reported for throwing.

I’m terrible
unfortunately valorant is not easy. when the game first came out, people were talking about the overwhelming amount of things you would have to keep track of in a round, including positioning, crosshair placement, aim, recoil, abilities, and etc. if you don't come from an fps background, it's a lot to learn and i can confirm that as well since the only fps game i'd played before that was overwatch on my xbox and minecraft which barely counts.
i think kinito and kurenai are right and that coaching might be beneficial if you don't know where you're going wrong. you could also try finding some youtube videos or watching streamers (who coach; most of them do so for iron-gold ranks) and you can make small changes to your gameplay.
