How to roll back to previous image?
I managed to figure it out. For anyone in the future who has this issue:
* Figure out the timestamp for the version you want to roll back to. Since mine was recent, I just went backwards until a date worked.
* Run
sudo rpm-ostree rebase ostree-unverified-registry:ghcr.io/ublue-os/<bazzite image>:<version>-<timestamp>. In my case it was bazzite-nvidia:39-20231129.
* Let it do its thing and reboot.
* Once rebooted, pin the current version using sudo ostree admin pin 0.8 replies

Okay, I'm guessing it was the magic of turning it off and back on again, but everything seems to be working as expected now. Bazzite portal was able to install everything I wanted as I expected (except Decky, but that's because
rm: cannot remove '/': is a directory put the fear of God in me and I opted not to give it another go). Games still seem to be running as I'd expect, and all of my flatpaks are working as I'd expect. Thanks for all the help everyone!52 replies

Okay, so I rebooted again, and fortunately it seems like the terminal is able to run. No idea what changed but I'll take it. Also, running the Bazzite Portal option re-opens the Welcome to Bazzite window that I saw on the first boot. Should I run through that again or leave it be?

The errors were from the Show Console button on the Setting up Bazzite page. The error opening terminal was when I tried opening the terminal once the install was done after seeing those errors.

This was on first boot, I was just going through the setup wizard. I kept all of the default options except for installing Decky.

I tried it initially with a password, and it prompted me for my password 3 times as well, so I (incorrectly) assumed I was just typing it in wrong.
