If, a friend of mine lives in malaysia, and i live in India, and they want to gift me valorant points, will they able to do it with a giftcode purchased in malaysia? both the countries are in Asia Pacific region and gift codes are region locked not country locked

I live in India, and a friend of mine lives in Malaysia, he wanted to gift me valorant points on my account by giftcards, if he buys a giftcard with malaysian giftcard provider, will the code work in my account? My account is an Indian account, its created in India
