TV Display Issue at 4K 120Hz
I am running Bazzite OS (GNOME version) alongside Windows 11 in a dual-purpose setup.
My primary monitor is an AOC 1080p 144Hz, which I use on Windows 11 for work, while my secondary display is a TCL 4K 144Hz TV located in the living room, intended for gaming on Bazzite OS.
The TV is connected to my PC via an HDMI cable and a DP-to-HDMI adapter, as I’ve read this is the only way to achieve 4K @ 120Hz on Bazzite.
The TV, connected to the second DisplayPort of the RX 7900 XT, displays “no signal”.
In desktop mode, I can manually change the TV’s resolution from the default 2160p (4K) to 1080p @ 120Hz, (which matches the resolution of my main monitor), and the TV then successfully displays the desktop. However, if I switch back to 4K resolution, the signal is lost again.
On Windows 11, using the exact same setup with the same hardware and cables, the TV works flawlessly at 4K @ 120Hz, which confirms this is a software issue with Bazzite OS and not a hardware problem.
I've tried all possible resolutions on the TV, but only 1080p works.
I also attempted disabling my main PC monitor (AOC) and making the TV the primary display.
I have reinstalled Bazzite OS, first using the KDE version and later switching to GNOME.
I’ve been trying to make this work for the past week now but can't seem to make it work. Any advice or help would be deeply appreciated.
