Create a remotely managed tunnel and then create an api key with appropriate permissions? I am unsure what you are exactly trying to secure

May I ask why flexible is insecure? It only means traffic from the cloudflare proxy to your server (and vice versa) wont be encrypted right?

We have a main page that was getting hit with ddos traffic but that makes request to an api running on the other server

because thats the funny thing, I got 2 different origin servers running and if 1 of them gets hit all services running on both of them go down
