So im in Malaysia rn and im thinking of buying a gift card for a friend. However his store currency is in Philippines peso. So if I buy a gift card from Malaysia using Malaysian currency will it still work for him?

If I switch my region from LATAM to APAC bc I js moved to APAC, would the currency in my store change from usd to The currency of the country I’m in?
