https://www.thespike.gg/valorant/error-codes/complete-guide-to-fixing-valorant-error-code-val-5 There is a whole guide on what you can do to fix this but to be honest, the only thing that has worked for me now was to completely uninstall Valorant and Vanguard. Maybe Vanguard alone was the reason, but I just uninstalled both.

Same with me, and considering you posted this an hour ago, there are surely more people that encounter the same issue right now. Was playing the game perfectly fine for the past weeks, last time like 3 hours ago and now this is exactly what happens. The moment I press Play, I get the error code. Hopefully someone here knows an actual fix for this or that Riot is aware of it if it is a general issue rn.
