Workers seems to not load in localhost

Hello, im trying to use cloudflare workers, i have followed the steps in the get started section and i created a new worker, i tried running the dev server but when i go to the localhost url it never seems to load, i have asked other people to follow the same steps and it worked for them. Does somebody know why this could be happening? i have tried updating node and things like that but its still the same.
