High Ping Spikes after the new update
I've started playing Valorant earlier this year and I didn't have any issues. I am playing on a laptop(windows 11) and I don't use wired connection.
This week I changed my router due to not being able to have stable internet if even only 2 devices were actively using it. (As example, my val ping would be huge if I played at the same time as my mom used Netflix). The router was also really old, however outside what I've mentioned I had no issues.
Yesterday I got internet again after a few days in which I've changed the router. I installed the new update and I saw that suddenly I kept getting the Network Issue and low FPS, despite not getting any of those before(maybe the FPS one sometimes but it never bothered me). It isn't a server issue since I have it set on optimal.
When I am about to join any time of game everything seems fine and those bars are green. Once I join the game, my ping is about 30-50 at most. When the rounds actually start and people come in my range of vision it shoots up to 500 and more. This didn't happen to me before.
Everything else works fine for me. I don't play any other multiplayer games but anything that needs Internet works fine otherwise. My friend advised me to do some of those speed tests and whatever and they all come out fine and according to him the game should, in theory, work. It doesn't.
I've tried many fixes I've seen on the internet and on YouTube involving editing in the control pannel and so on, yet nothing worked.
Is there anything I can do about this?
Is anyone else experiencing it?
