ecryptfs group membership issue on upgrade
Atomic newbie here.
I've layed in ecryptfs-utils and ecryptfs-utils-loginmount
I came across https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fedora-silverblue/troubleshooting/#_unable_to_add_user_to_group and followed it to add the bazzite user to ecryptfs. That worked fine but on upgrade I get this error
error: While applying overrides for pkg ecryptfs-utils: Could not find group 'ecryptfs' in group file
I removed the line "ecryptfs : x :960:bazzite" (without the spaces) from /etc/group and a retry of the upgrade ran through fine.
The couple of answers here about groups seem to point to the same process. Is there a more layer friendly way to add a user to a group. Am I doing it right but there's some bug/quirk in ecryptfs layering?
Mostly I'm manually mounting a separate ecryptfs folder that's synced between a few PCs with syncthing, so group membership is probably optional-ish for me.
