Major issues with connecting to voicechat and team chat
My friend and I both share a problem where when starting Valorant and playing a game, the voicechat will break after a few rounds.
Here's a rough timeline:
- start the match, everything seems fine
- after 5-10 rounds, we notice we can't speak anymore, or at least or icon/name won't show up in the bottom left. We can still hear other people talking although we don't see their icons/names either when they speak
- after another few more rounds, no more comms, voicechat broke completely
- next match: agent select screen shows Low-Poly versions of agents, chat says "Error: Couldn't connect to chat room", the entire ally and enemy chat doesn't appear, can't send messages. You often stay in the loading screen for longer than everyone else which leads to being afk for the first one or two rounds (and also getting penalized for that after the game...)
- when restarting Valorant, it often starts this cycle again, sometimes even restarting doesn't do anything though. In this case, closing the game only works via TaskManager. Skins also don't load properly in the collection menu.
We've tried opening Valorant as Admin and as Non-Admin, re-installed the game, re-installed Vanguard. Still got the problems though.
This has been the case for roughly the past three weeks.
Both of us have sufficient hardware and internet connection to play Valorant and have done so for well over a year.
Is there anyone out there experiencing similar issues and does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
