vanguard won’t dowload..?
i played a lot of val and stopped in may of this year because my pc’s hard drive completely just died due to a string of power outages.
i got a new hard drive recently and almost immediately tried downloading val again as it’s been months and i want to play.
after installing the launcher/game it told me it was going to install vanguard, bla bla the usual.
it failed because it couldn’t “install a required dependency”
tried restarting pc, didn’t work. tried uninstalling the whole game and deleting all files related to riot, didn’t work either. tried going to reddit/tech help websites/valorant support. everything the internet told me wasn’t helpful because typically this error comes up when updating and not when first installing the game/vanguard (therefore i didn’t have vanguard to uninstall or vgc in my services menu to correct a setting). i’m lost. is my hard drive not compatible or something? i highly doubt it, but i’m not very tech savvy.
help please!!!

“We couldn’t install a required dependency. Please try again, restart your computer or reach out to our player support team.”
