[RESOLVED] Tuned power manager tunes too low
indeed it does! powersave profile as far as I can tell does its job and doesn't paperweight my pc for 5 min every time I switch to it 😂

honestly I don't know why I'm the only FW to be experiencing this stuff on here tho. You'd think since it's supposed to be fairly homogenous hardware, this would be common

for me, it was super weird though. I had slack open, and for whatever reason, the "flicker" was the contents of my slack window. It didn't matter if slack was actually open though. If I quit slack, it flickered slack. If I rebooted, it flickered slack

I just had something similar happen on my Framework 16, and turning off adaptive sync worked!

it's also the
power saver mode, but yeah balanced also grinds to a halt. Dunno whether power saver is worse or not though since both just seem to make things stop working30 replies

[WORKAROUND FOUND] Full System Crash (Cannot Alt+F3 to change tty)
Better workaround is to put
KWIN_DRM_NO_DIRECT_SCANOUT=1 into /etc/environment and then reboot. There is a small hit to performance (I haven't noticed any hit, but KDE says there is), but the issue is now completely gone. I don't have to use gamescope and I can turn the steam overlay back on too428 replies

@Kyle Gospo you happen to have had time to poke at this yet? Ik you mentioned a couple weeks ago you were interested in adding this to the Bazzite layer iirc
