Disk Checking in recovery shell
main partition will not mount (something to the effect of
couldn't find tree root) on machine due to expecting a different 'generation (wanted: 2098 v expected 0),' recovery tools (from bazzite reocvery iso) return failure to mount; main coincidence across attmepts is apparently a bad block in tree directory.
if more information is needed, i will carry out steps to the best of my ability and return results; may i ask where i should look next for troubleshooting?
