Border hover animation reversing

How to make a Scroll snap align effect

Object-fit:cover; reduces quality of images, alternative?

Hi, I've been using aspect-ratio: 1; and object-fit: cover; for a while now, and I've just found out it reduces the quality of the images significantly. Is there any alternative to it, or a roundabout that I can use? The only thing I can come up with is using photoshop to make the desired shape.

Hovereffect with opacity on gallery

Hi, I'd like to make a hovereffect on a gallery where if you hover on the whole gallery, the opacity lowers except for the image you are hovering on within that gallery. Filter not on child

Hi, i'm trying to make an effect where the background is grayscale 100% and the child isn't while using the :not here is an example: https://codepen.io/axl-prudhomme/pen/NWzbLQB?editors=1100 so the center shouldn't be grayscale and the outer should.

Small question regarding speed of the page

Hi, just a small question, if I write css and I don't specify a class, so the css doesn't do anything, does it make my site heavier? Like if I write a ton of css but I won't use it, does that make a difference?
