When debugging the data is not updated after running the script.

When I run a task, I get a debug on code value of "1". When I run the script update database value = "2" , I come back to debug on code and find that the data has not been changed (value = "1"). So when I closed the program and re-opened it. I am debugging the data, it has value = "2". What should I do?
