since the socket is in a directory onder /tmp instead of in $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR, I need to set the full path

AFAIU
WAYLAND_DISPLAY just sets the name of the socket in $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR, while WAYLAND_SOCKET sets the full path to the socket36 replies
