I figured out the issue after over 1 hour of pulling my hair out, turns out I was targeting the wrong selector, I was using the correct properties but on the wrong selector then went down a rabbit hole and it was something so simple. I have made the change you have suggested, Thank you so much for responding ❤️ p.s how does your code snippet have color and mine doesnt?

This is 100% the reason i cant believe it! It was because i copied some of the styling from else where in the project where i needed the list-style-position: inside; FML Thank you ❤️

I think you have to reset the margin and paddingto 0 and its also a good idea in the future to use box-sizing. If you apply this to the top of your sheet it should reset it

* {
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;
  box-sizing: border-box;
}

* {
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;
  box-sizing: border-box;
}
