Unable to perform system update (forced read-only)
Hi all,
I've been trying to update my desktop but I keep encountering an error where the system becomes read-only. Even trying to update a game from Steam results in this error. OS has been installed on a fairly new SSD (about 170 uptime according to smartctl).
This is the output from dmesg.
Any suggestions on how to go about diagnosing the cause of this issue?
My system specs:
AMD Ryzen 5600
32Gb RAM
ASUS Tuf GAming B550 Wifi-II
Radeon 6900XT
I've performed the signature fix as instructed in the announcements channel.

Krunner occasionally crashes and the only way out is the power button
Hi all. Relatively new to Linux and Bazzite. I've noticed that occasionally (maybe once a week or every other week) I'll get a message that either the Plasma desktop or krunner has failed. Sometimes I don't even get a notification.
When that happens, clicking the shutdown button in the application menu will make the system freeze for about 5 seconds before recovering with the message about krunner failing.
Alt+F2 will not bring up the "search box" and I usually won't be able to launch any applications either from the application menu or pinned to the task bar. This means I'm unable to launch Ptyxis or even Konsole to reboot the computer. The only think I can do is to either press the hardware power / reset buttons.
Short of using the hardware buttons in future, what can I do to "recover" from this error?
I'm using Bazzite in desktop mode with an AMD GPU.
