i had a similar problem with tx one time where it sounded good in the middle but bad on the sides because the housing was too big for the stab insert.

also when you do end up taking it out of the case, just make sure to test it outside of the case too, incase its something about the assembly sitting inside the case weird

its hard for me to say because, only you can "feel" the stab moving inside the housing. There will be a little bit of wiggle due to the keycap. You can also try it taking off the keycap + moving it with tweezers. But generally the less sound the better
