Thanks for pointing us in the right directions @Phorcys . It turns out there are some network issues, ping is fine but the throughput is abysmal. We'll give this a shot once we have the network stuff sorted out.

Hitting the same issue when deploying workspaces cross cluster, everything works fine with in-cluster workspaces
