What's the major difference between a blind via and a buried via in a PCB design?
Sometimes using microvias reduces the cost of your PCB board. According to Happy Holden (aka, God Father of HDI), before using this you should plan for it in your stackup and throughout your design. It can reduce the total cost and layers of your board if planned appropriate.
