authentication
so im pretty new and im running into this error where my assets directory is set to the public folder and on the same level as the public folder but not in that range i have a protected folder. currently when not authenticated and trying to access the protected pags a user will be redirected to the signup page etc but if authenticated i want them to just bypass that signup part. only issue is that the pages cant be server probably because theyre outside the assets binding. now if i put the protected folder inside the public the backend gets completely ignored. i tried adding middleware stuff but it didnt work. i also tried gemini and chatgpt to help me fix this but without success. could anybody help please?
