ty ty ty!! seems like a potential resolution on the Railway side is to delay PR deployments for a second or two. i wish it could be accomplished by something like a

actually come to think of it, i don't think
sleep 3 will work. this ERR_INVALID_URL is occurring more than 2 minutes after the build starts. which means adding another few seconds of delay won't do a thing.19 replies

however, it's a recurring problem. it will happen again (not always; there's a little randomness) when future PRs are raised. hence my suggestion that the official guidance could be to add a sleep to the start of all relevant PR build configs.

ah, i see! for PR envs, the first deployment is typically the most important one! so, i guess the advice here going forward could be to add a sleep-before-deploy in the PR env config.

should we add sleep before the deploy step? it's not just a second for DNS to resolve correct? i believe that one has been documented. but here, it's a second before the env vars are usable.

problem was that i dragged the middle of the tile and not the little dots 🤣 UX-wise, i think that'll be a "common feedback".

on another note, now that i understand railway better now and realize that the team plan is for production-level products at $20 per seat per month, might it be possible to transfer my $20 payment as credits to my hobby plan? my product is, unfortunately, still some way from production and the hobby plan is actually a better fit.
nevertheless, i am very reassured to understand the exact steps to bring my product to team production when the time comes!!!

since we're not yet in production (therefore still hobbyists), i've invited my collaborators directly into the hobby project for now. i do hope to receive some help/advice eventually, as i'm really enjoying railway and would love to grow with railway into team production when the time/opportunity arises!!
