What would be appropriate attire for a casual casino?
Next year I'll be going to a convention, and staying at a hotel, now the hotel is semi-classy (Artificial marble, wood texture hallway with carpet, flower pattern sofa's in the restaurant, etc.) Now the surrounding area, where the hotel is in, is pretty dead. It's mostly industrial stuff or no-mans land. But the hotel does have a casino (and a spa I suppose but a reservation is quite costly for just 30 minutes), so I'll be setting aside some money and will be playing a bit in the casino after the convention and dinner, got to do something after all. Now the casino isn't a big casino or anything fancy for that matter, it's all slot machines and 1 or 2 semi-electronic roulette tables. Most patrons from any time I've been there are retired people with the occasional young person just wanting to have a bit of fun... By spending around €500. Anyway, all that story aside; Despite it being a very casual casino with no real human dealers, I still want to dress nice. I could bring my 3-piece light grey suit but I feel that might be a bit overdressed for this casual type of casino. Not to mention I don't have dress shoes, only my recently-bought Chelsea boots, and I can't afford to buy any dress shoes right now. So, my question to you all is; What kind of attire would be appropriate for a casual casino? It's all low-stakes with a minimum usually of €0,20, at least in roulette. And the casino themselves has no dress code aside from no hats. If any of that matters.

How to pick shoes without creasing the toe line?
I'm trying to find new leather shoes. Chelseas I think they're called? The ones with elastic fabric at the side of the ankle and no ties. Anyway, I'm a 43 EU and walking with them I notice the toeline presses on my toes and will result in creases in the leather. On the other hand, a size smaller I can't get in at all. And a size bigger is obviously too roomy. Am I selecting my shoes wrong? How do I avoid that creasing? They're expensive after all
